hooray for a friday! i thought this day would never come. because it’s friday and i’m thanking God i’m fresh (“t.g.i.f.” by kid cudi, wassup!), here’s a randomized substantial-ish post for you!

i feel like all i’ve been doing is running around lately. from class to fpg elementary to my room to drop something off to eat to rehearsal to cobb to bed to shower to work to class…oh hey, exhaustion, i haven’t seen you in a while!

even though it’s been crazy busy, it’s keeping me on my toes. i am have so much fun at broadway melodies rehearsals and couldn’t ask for a better break from school and work! it’s been a blast getting to know these people and spending time with them to practice up for the best musical rendition of mean girls ever.

this weekend i’m seeing angels in america — can we say excited?! 32 hours and counting. WASSUP.

i’m heading back to concord this afternoon for a wedding — again, more excitement! i love weddings. they’re just so happy and full of joy and wonderfulness and love! (sigh) it’ll be good to sleep in my bed for a night (although let’s be honest, it’s gonna make me want to sleep the weekend away, which is something i cannot do at this point in time).

with my busy schedule as of late, i’m really realizing how much more time i need to devote to God. last sunday, jd preached about david and bathsheba from 2 samuel and one of his big talking points was that when things are going well, we feel like we don’t need God as much. i’m not saying that i feel like i don’t need God right now because things are going well for me, but i can tell i’m not being as reliant on Him as i should be. here’s to alleviating that!

psalm 63:1-4
o God, you are my God, earnestly i seek You; my soul thirsts for You, my body longs for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. i have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and Your glory. because Your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. i will praise You as long as i live, and in Your name i will life up my hands.

songs on repeat at the moment on my itunes (meaning you should check them out): “barton hollow” by the civil wars, “the prayer” by kid cudi, “1901” by phoenix, and “best wishes” by xv.
